Our popular e-bike routes include the Historic Columbia River Highway, the Twin Tunnels Trail, Mosier, the Hood River Valley, Panorama Point, local orchards, wineries, and scenic Columbia Gorge viewpoints. All rides are out and back so you can choose how far you want to go.
Twin Tunnels — This is our most popular ride. You depart our shop and bike 2 miles to the trailhead. The Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail begins at the Mark O. Hatfield West parking area. The trail is 5 miles and features a small waterfall, several stunning viewpoints, and the historic twin tunnels. First built in 1915 as the first scenic highway in the United States, it was repurposed in 2000 for bike and pedestrian-only use. If you want more, we have an additional 10-mile loop that passes orchards, wineries, and U-pick fruit farms in the town of Mosier, OR. We rate this ride as medium difficulty, and the total distance is up to 24 miles.
Fruit Loop & Mountain Views — We find this to be the most quintessential Hood River e-bike ride. You will depart from our shop and head 3.5 miles up a country road (including a steep, 1/2-mile hill) to reach the Panorama viewpoint. This is one of the best views in all of the Hood River Valley! You will continue along scenic country roads that pass through lush apple and pear orchards while Mt. Hood stands beautifully in the background. We highly recommend stopping at Packer Orchards, Hope Valley Lavender, The Fruit Co., Mt. Hood Winery, and The Gorge White House. We rate this as our most advanced ride due to the steep hill and no bike lane country roads; the total distance is up to 20 miles.
Waterfall E-Bike Ride — This is our easiest, most family-friendly option and is 100% car-free! For this adventure, you will meet us just 7 miles west of Hood River at the Viento Trailhead. From there, you’ll glide along a pristine, dedicated paved path on the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. This 12-mile round-trip journey is an absolute waterfall paradise, showcasing Starvation Creek Falls, Hole-in-the-Wall Falls, Cabin Creek Falls, and Lancaster Falls right from the trail. When you reach the turnaround point at Wyeth Campground, you can stretch your legs with a short, scenic walk to discover Emerald and Gorton Creek Falls. Because it is flat, paved, and entirely separated from traffic, it’s a completely stress-free experience. Bring the little ones along—we offer kid trailers and a premium kid bike seat perfect for ages 3 to 7. We rate this as our easiest ride, and the total distance is 12 miles.

Our waterfall e-bike rentals meet at Viento State Park Historic Highway Trailhead just 7 miles west of Hood River.
What family friendly options do you have for e-bike rides?
Please reach out to us via text 541-806-4190 to inquire about kid option availability. For ages 1-5 we have Burly Bee bike trailers ($30) that are towed behind. For ages 3-6 we have Aventon cargo bikes with kids seats. ($20 additional cost). We will drop kids trailers and bikes at the trailhead for you. We recommend the Waterfall Route for the easiest ride. It is completely car free and mostly a flat trail. The kids love the waterfall adventure.
What is included with an e-bike rental?
Every e-bike rental includes a helmet, lock, basic riding instructions, and route recommendations. We’ll help you choose the best ride based on your time, comfort level, and what you want to see.
Do you offer self-guided e-bike tours?
Yes. Our e-bike rentals are perfect for self-guided rides. We provide route suggestions so you can explore at your own pace without needing to follow a tour group.
Can I ride an e-bike to the Twin Tunnels from Hood River?
Yes. The Twin Tunnels Trail is one of the most popular e-bike rides from Hood River. It offers car-free sections, dramatic Columbia Gorge views, and a great ride to Mosier.
When do bikes need to be returned?
All e-bike rentals must be returned by 5:00 PM unless otherwise arranged. Rentals may begin anytime after 10:00 AM, subject to availability.
We strive to be flexible and can often accommodate early pickups or later returns when requested in advance. Please text 541-806-4190 if you would like to discuss special arrangements.
For guests needing to return bikes after business hours, we can offer secure after-hours bike drop-off accommodations for an additional $30.
