Renting E-Bikes at Pedal & Paddle:

Your Hood River e-bike rental starts at our shop on the waterfront. When you arrive, our team will get you checked in, fit you with a helmet, help adjust your bike, and walk you through the route options for your ride.

E-Bike Rental $75 for 4/Hours

Before heading out, we will show you how to operate our Aventon Pace electric bikes, including how to use the pedal assist, throttle, brakes, gears, display, and basic controls. The Hood River Waterfront is a great place to practice for a few minutes and get comfortable with the bike before starting your ride.

We use Google Maps for our recommended routes, so please download the Google Maps app before you arrive if you do not already have it. We will help you get the route loaded before you leave.

Choose between our Columbia Gorge Scenic Ride or the more advanced ride to the Fruit Loop and Mountain Views. Riders can also select their own adventure.

Once you feel ready, you will begin by riding through downtown Hood River. After about four blocks of town riding, you will connect with the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. From there, the route becomes a paved, car-free trail known as the Twin Tunnels section of the Mark O. Hatfield Trail.

This is the classic Hood River e-bike ride. The Twin Tunnels route follows the old historic highway above the Columbia River with incredible Gorge views, scenic overlooks, and a smooth paved path. The main trail section is about 5 miles each way, making it a perfect out-and-back ride for guests who want a relaxed and scenic experience.

For riders who want to go farther, you can continue down into the town of Mosier. From there, our extended Google Maps route adds a beautiful loop through cherry orchards, vineyards, quiet country roads, and big Gorge views. Along the way, you can stop at a U-pick farm, take a break at Analemma Wines, grab lunch or coffee in Mosier, or simply enjoy the ride and circle back.

The full extended route is about 24 miles round trip. With a 4-hour rental, most riders have plenty of time to explore, stop for photos, enjoy the views, and take a relaxed break along the way.

For guests looking to add even more adventure, you can continue toward Panorama Point on your way back to the shop. This section has a steeper climb, so it is best for riders who are comfortable on bikes and want an extra challenge.

Whether you want a simple scenic ride to the Twin Tunnels or a longer adventure through Mosier’s orchards and vineyards, we will help you choose the route that fits your comfort level, time, and sense of adventure.

For riders looking for a bigger Hood River e-bike adventure, our Fruit Loop and Mountain Views Ride takes you beyond the waterfront and into the scenic orchard country above town. This route explores quiet country roads, rolling farmland, vineyards, fruit stands, and open views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding Columbia Gorge landscape. It is a beautiful option for guests who want more than the classic Twin Tunnels ride and are excited to experience the agricultural side of Hood River.

This is a more advanced ride and is best for riders who are comfortable sharing country roads with occasional vehicle traffic. The route includes rolling hills and one steep section that lasts about half a mile, so riders should be prepared for a little extra effort even with electric assist. The payoff is worth it: wide-open views, orchards, wineries, farm stands, and some of the best mountain scenery in the Hood River Valley.

Your Hood River e-bike rental includes a premium Aventon Pace e-bike, helmet, bike lock, route guidance, and a quick pre-ride lesson from our team. We will help you get comfortable with the bike, load your recommended route in Google Maps, and choose the best ride for your experience level, whether you are heading to the Twin Tunnels, Mosier, or the Hood River Valley Fruit Loop.

Need more time than the standard 4-hour rental? Extra time is $10 per hour, up to a max of $85 per day. Multi-day rentals are $75 per day, giving you more freedom to explore Hood River, Mosier, the Fruit Loop, and the Gorge at your own pace.

For rentals of 3 days or more, we offer complimentary Hood River hotel drop-off, based on availability. This is a great option for guests staying in town who want bikes ready at their hotel or lodging.
